Bring One for the Chipper

Picture
Be a Treecycler!! - Christmas Tree Recycling is held in conjunction with the Department of Community Affair's Keep Georgia Beautiful "Bring One for the Chipper" program. The event date varies each year, but is usually the 1st or 2nd Saturday in January.  You can support the Chipper program by bringing your undecorated, cut Christmas tree to the West Remington Recycling Center.  The mulch from these trees is used for playgrounds, local government beautification projects and individual yards. Please check back for specific dates and times as they will change from year to year.

2023 Chipper Event

The Georgia Forestry Commission for Thomas County provided free Red Bud and White Oak tree seedlings for the chipper event this year.  Thank you to everyone that brought their tree to the recycling center.  This helps keep them out of the landfill and provides mulch for the community.
