Library Litter Pick-up Kits
The Library Litter Pick-up Kit program started as a pilot due to COVID-19 since our organization was unable to host large scale cleanups, and initially ran through August 2020. In partnership with the Thomasville Library System, KTCB teamed up to provide Litter Pick-up Kits available for check-out by anyone with a library card. The kits contain everything you would need for a DIY cleanup including bag holders, litter grippers, bags, safety vests and disposable gloves. During the programs first two months 13 kits were used by 22 people who collected over 39 bags of litter. Due to its success, it is now an ongoing program to allow residents of our county to make a difference in their neighborhoods or their favorite outdoor spots.

The Hines Family - Leading the Way
The Hines Family checked out a Litter Pick-up Kit from the Library and collected eight large garbage bags full of litter. Great to see young people taking a leadership role in helping keep our community clean.

Be a Leader Against Litter like Andrew (blue hat). He decided to pick up litter on Mill Pond Road for his Citizenship in Community merit badge project for Boy Scout Troop 306. Andrew checked out a litter clean-up kit from the library, recruited a couple boy scouts and friend – shout out to Colin, Nick, Seth and the group’s leader John Bennett. They picked up 20 bags of litter along a 3.5 mile stretch of Mill Pond Road.
