Thomas County Great American Cleanup 2023 - Saturday March 25, 2023
KTCB would like to express many thanks to our Thomas County Great American Cleanup volunteers, including the TCMS MERIT and Builders Club, Little by Little Volunteers, Thomas University Athletics Soccer Team, Meigs Virtuous Girls Youth Group, and the many others whom gave their time for this event. Together, you collected over 1100 lbs. of litter, 15 tires, misc. metal/other pieces at 9 sites on over 8.5 miles of roadway throughout Thomas County. You also spent time working in our Community Teaching Garden.
A special shout out to our event sponsor, Check-Mate whose support helped us provide volunteers with litter cleanup supplies. We couldn’t have done what we did without the operational support from Thomas County Public Works, City of Thomasville, GA - Government Solid Waste, and KTCB board member volunteers. Mr. Josephus you grilled up some tasty hot dogs for our volunteer lunch! #GreatAmericanCleanup. We Look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Thomas County Great American Cleanup 2022
In 2022 rather than one big clean-up event, Keep Thomas County Beautiful is facilitating more smaller events to accommodate individual circumstances. Take part in the 2022 Great American Cleanup by scheduling a clean-up in your neighborhood, at your favorite park or anywhere else in the community that you feel could benefit from a little TLC. Let's join forces to help keep Thomas County the beautiful place we all know and love. Below are just a few photos from GAC events that took place between March 19th and April 16th.

Thomas County Great American Cleanup 2019
More than 100 volunteers gathered early Saturday morning March 23 to take part in the 2019 Great American Cleanup held by Keep Thomas County Beautiful. It was a gorgeous day and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Volunteers picked up 116 30-gallon bags of litter, 4 tires, a bathroom vanity and miscellaneous metal pieces from roadways in and around Thomasville that totaled more than 564 lbs. A volunteer lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs was provided afterwards at beautiful Cherokee Lake. Special Thanks to Flowers Foods, Thomas County Public Works, City of Thomasville Solid Waste Department and the many volunteers who made this event possible. #GAC2020 #KAB #KGB #DoBeautifulThings #KeepThomasCountyBeautiful #KTCB
